In the municipalities of Villa Conto and San Isidro, belonging to the municipality of R铆o Quito or Paimad贸, 10 mining units used for the illegal exploitation of mining sites were destroyed in a controlled condition over the weekend.
The Colombian Air Force participated in this operation in a joint, coordinated and interagency manner with the National Army, the Police and the Office of the Attorney General of the Nation, which resulted in the destruction of eight dragons, 16 motor pumps and an equal number of electricity generators, 8,000 gallons of Diesel, among other elements used to carry out this illegal practice.
In addition, the finances of the Organized Armed Group, GAO, Clan del Golfo, substructure H茅roes de Jes煤s Carretera, were directly damaged, and they will no longer receive approximately 5,700 million pesos a year to support their criminal organization.
