Military forces made the impossible possible: after 40 days of searching, the 4 missing children were found alive

A Combined Search Cell located the brothers in the middle of the thick jungle. At this time they are evaluated by specialists at the Central Military Hospital of Bogotá.

"Miracle, miracle, miracle, miracle” were the words that a Special Forces Commando shouted with obvious emotion. It was not for nothing, that was the key established in Operation Esperanza to be used when the discovery of the four minors who had remained missing since last first of May when a plane crash in the jungles of the departaments of Caquetá and Guaviare took place.

A Combined Search Cell, made up of members of the Military Forces and members of the Murui indigenous community, native to Puerto Leguízamo, Putumayo, who had joined the search weeks ago.

With obvious signs of dehydration and malnutrition, the four little ones hugged the military who immediately provided them with food and drinks to partially mitigate the difficult condition.

An Angel helicopter of the Colombian Air Force, equipped and conditioned with medical elements especially to attend to this kind of emergency, immediately took off from San José del Guaviare to a jungle area.

With the help of a crane that the aircraft has, the children were taken out one by one to receive basic care at the military medical clinic of the 22nd Brigade of the National Army.

Minutes later they were boarded on a medicalized plane of the Colombian Air Force to Bogota. There they were transported in ambulances to the Central Military Hospital where they receive medical attention from pediatricians who monitor their health condition.

This humanitarian mission made the impossible possible. The faith of the Commandos was always intact and every day they worked to locate the children. Today, every corner of  Colombia is celebrating.

Glory to the Soldier!
