In a joint and coordinated operation conducted by the Colombian Air Force, the National Army and the National Police in the village of Ualema, Municipality of Villas del Rosario, Department of Norte de Santander, a cocaine hydrochloride laboratory with a production capacity of 800 kilos per month was found.
Thanks to intelligence information provided by the Colombian Air Force, troops and units of the National Police found 322 kilos of hydrochloride of cocaine, a large quantity of machinery, precursors and elements which troops found in the illegal structure that would belong to the urban front Carlos Velazco Villamizar of the Organised Armed Group, GAO, Eln, achieving to hit this group by $2.035.697.000 COP, about US$ 565,000.000.
These operations against drug trafficking will continue to be carried out in a joint, coordinated and inter-institutional manner, significantly and decisively damaging the financial component and the criminal operation of these groups in the Catatumbo area.
