Taking into account the regional leadership of the Colombian Military Forces in the fight against drug trafficking and with the objective of helping the countries of the region strengthen their operational capacities against this situation, as well as other common threats, Government delegates of the United States, the Ministry of National Defense and the Military Forces met in Costa Rica in the frame of the joint operation plan of regional security USCAP (COL -USA).
The purpose of this meeting was to prepare the training and training plan for the year 2021 for the Military Forces and / or equivalent services of Costa Rica, El Salvador, Honduras, Guatemala, Panama, Paraguay and the Dominican Republic. The transfer of knowledge and experiences will be carried out by expert personnel of the National Army, National Navy and Colombian Air Force, according to the requirements of each country.
In this type of international cooperation environment, the Colombian Air Force has stated that it has the experience, capacity and willingness to build with the partner countries, the synergy required to face transnational threats that may put at risk the security and defense of our countries.
