The Minister of Defense, Diego Molano, announced that the Military Forces will maintain until further order all military assistance operations, within the framework of Operation Poseidon, concentrated mainly in the sectors of La Delfina, Cisneros, La Víbora and Loboguerrero, with support of the National Police and local authorities, for the restoration of law and order, mobility and supply.
The National Police is responsible for making a sustained intervention with the Elite Anti-Extortion Corps (CEAEX), in coordination with the Navy, in order to combat a situationthat harms Buenaventura such as extortion.
The Traffic and Transport Directorate of the Police will have 20 officers to support the regularization of mobility.
On Friday, the Minister of Defense said that the resources and operations of the Military Forces will be maintained to support the operations plan that is being carried out in this important Pacific port.
