Military Gaula - Ariari units, in coordination with SIJIN of the National Police, simultaneously arrested four individuals in flagrante delicto and 11 others by court order, members of the Organized Crime Group Puntilleros.
The operation, which was conducted in Villavicencio and Puerto Gaitán, Meta department, is carried out after an investigation of about eight months, in which it was established that these individuals were engaged in extortion to the farmers, productive groups and traders of this area of the country; these individuals were wanted for offences such as conspiracy to commit crimes, homicides, manufacture and trafficking of narcotic drugs, manufacture and trafficking of firearms and displacement.
Among those arrested, nine are Colombians and two are Venezuelans.
It should be noted that during the tactical mission, 29 40-millimeter grenades, two fragmentation grenades, 440 cartridges of 7.62 AK47, 1,250 grams of marijuana, 350 grams of coca base and six cell phones were found by troops, which were put into custody of the Prosecutor's Office.
