Seventeen extortionists belonging to the Organized Armed Group GAO Clan del Golfo have been captured in recent days. In a joint and coordinated operation of the Colombian Navy with the Army and the National Police, in the framework of the unified operation of the State, it was possible to capture eight members of the ' GAO Clan del Golfo' in the department of Bolívar.
In compliance with the arrest warrants issued by the Sixth Municipal Criminal Court of Cartagena - in the department of Bolívar, troops of the Navy of Colombia, of the military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) - Sucre, captured eight people in the municipality of Achí, in the department of Bolívar, including a woman, for the crimes of extortion and aggravated conspiracy.
Those captured belonged to the 'Erlin Pino Duarte' structure of the Organized Armed Group ' GAO Clan del Golfo del Golfo', which commits crimes in the riverside municipalities of the Cauca River, in the departments of Bolívar and Antioquia. The woman was considered a local ringleader of the organization and the seven individuals were in charge of finances.
With this result 17 members of the ' GAO Clan del Golfo ' have beenig captured in the last week, heavyly damaging the finances and structure of this criminal organization.
