Military Gaula, in the lower Cauca, finds war material belonging to the “Clan del Golfo”

Thanks to the timely warning of the civilian population, the National Army achieves this important finding, mitigating the criminal capacity of organized armed groups, GAO.

Through operations, carried out by troops of the Military Gaula of the Bajo Cauca, in coordination with the CTI (Technical Investigations Corps) of Cauca, it is possible to find two illegal hideouts belonging to the substructure 'Francisco José Mórelo Pénate' of the Clan del Golfo, in the municipality El Pato, municipality of Zaragoza.

Thanks to the information provided by the community and military intelligence, the soldiers found 13 AK-47 rifles, two rifles Fal, five barrels for rifle, two pistols, two revolvers, four magazines and eight packages of potassium permanganate.
