The Military Gaula strengthen Intervention Plan in the country

In July 2022, the Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) strengthened the strategy of the Intervention Plan in places with the greatest numbers related to the crime of extortion, was launched since February in 11 departments of the country.

 

With 452 activities during this period, the Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) intervened in 10 municipalities making door-to-door visits, work plan, checkpoints, installation of information stands and radio spots, areas where the modalities of extortion were analyzed through instructions and informative talks.

 

In the departments of Sucre, Putumayo, Norte de Santander, Valle del Cauca, Huila, Chocó department, Caribe, Boyacá, Santander and Vichada, the municipalities of Buenaventura, Jamundí, Los Patios, Cúcuta, Ocaña, Barrancabermeja, Quibdó, Cumaribo, Malambo, Soledad, Mocoa, Neiva, Garzón, Pitalito, Sampués, Corozal, Sincelejo, Tunja were visited and the activities counted on the direct contact reaching to benefit 23,588 people.

 

The operation continues and the persistence of the Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) is absolute, therefore, every day it does work in these regions to reduce the criminal operations of the different criminal structures that commit crimes such as intimidating the inhabitants and taking away their heritage; the troops always seek that Colombians understand the importance of denouncing these crimes and thus works to guarantee the tranquility and freedom of the entire Colombian people.
