As soon as the crew of the UH-60 helicopter 'Angel' of the Colombian Air Force was alerted, it took off from Rionegro to the village of Mande in the municipality of Urrao, to carry out the humanitarian evacuation of a 12 years old boy who suffered a snake bite.
Despite the adverse weather conditions in the sector, in the southwest of the Department of Antioquia, the FAC4138, with rescuers and nurses on board, evacuated the child who was doing field work near his home when the accident occurred.
During the flight he was immediately assisted and provided with first aid and monitored to be later given to the doctors, who were waiting for him in the battalion Pedro Justo Berrio in Medellin; later he was transferred to a specialized center.
