The shipment, including food kits, toiletries, blankets and other items, will be distributed to more than 500 people

After the serious fire that was reported last Saturday in the municipality of Guapi, on the Pacific coast of the department of Cauca, which left dozens of families hit, the Military Transport Air Command, CATAM, sent the Casa C-295 aircraft to transport more than 8 tons of humanitarian aid, following the plans of the National Government and the National Unit for Disaster Risk Management-UNGRD.

The cargo, which includes food kits, toilet items, blankets and other items that will be distributed to the more than 500 people who were hit by the conflagration that destroyed more than 84 houses in the Puerto Cali neighborhood of Guapi.

This is one of the requirements that have been programmed in the current National Government and it is a support to government institutions that are meeting the needs of those who undergo through this difficult situation.

This is how the Military Transport Air Command, CATAM, supports the State's plans and makes its aircraft and crews available to carry the help to face the situation that the people of Guapi are going through today, emphasizing the commitment to Colombians and bringing hope to those who need it most.
