The Air Combat Command No.4 and the School of Helicopters for the Military Forces, was the perfect place to celebrate the symbolic ceremony of 'Blessing of Scarves' with pre presence of the 16 students that prepare in this School to receive their wings of Basic Pilots of Helicopters.

Currently this staff is part of the course No.64 and is composed of two officers of the Air Force of Salvador, four of the Army of the Dominican Republic, an officer of the Air Force of Honduras, a Police Officer of the Coast Air Surveillance Service Rica, two of the National Army of Peru, two of the Navy of Peru, two of the Colombian Air Force and two of the Colombian National Army.

It is one of the first courses with the largest participation of foreign students, of all the branches, giving it a degree of importance for the meaning of having six countries gathered in one place, sharing the same academy knowledge governed by quality instructors belonging to the Air Force and one of the Glorious National Army of Colombia.

The ceremony of 'Blessing of Scarves', is part of one of the stages of education of these young people and means for them the courage, confidence and support, which they most have to overcome with excellent academic results the first phase of the course.

With time it became a tradition that represents the excellent results obtained during the academy instruction received at the School of Helicopters of the Military Forces 'Coronel Carlos Alberto Gutiérrez Zuluaga'; the blessing represents the mysticism and courage, which each one of the pilots must soon serve the country. That is why the Colombian Air Force continues with tradition and continues to emphasize the doctrine and values that govern military life.
