In the framework of the permanent operation of the National Navy against the illegal exploitation of mining deposits in the department of Choc贸, the National Navy managed to find 6,910 gallons of illegal fuel.
Three fluvial control operations carried out by the Infantry Battalion No.16 on the Atrato River and its tributaries, left the finding of 6,910 gallons of DIESEL, which were transported in different metallic and rudimentary boats.
At the moment of the search of the motor ships, the individuals transporting the fuel did not have the Certificates for the Management of Substances and Controlled Chemical Products, documentation that is required for transportation of this material, so it is presumed that the fuel would be used by outlaw groups, for the illegal exploitation of mining deposits in the department of Choc贸.
During the operations, no captures were reported. The material was put into custody of the National Police of Quibd贸.
