The program “Fe en Colombia” “Mi Vereda Modelo - I am Santander”, which takes place in the hamlet of Cuesta Rica in Rionegro, thanks to the coordination of the National Army and the leadership of the Government of the department of Santander, begins to give the fruits of joint work in this sector, with the distribution of more than three thousand cocoa seedlings that were carefully cultivated in the Community Nursery.
Since the beginning of the program in this region of the department, people saw the need to create a common space, where the entire population could strengthen their plantations with techniques that led them to provide an excellent quality to the product and generate higher income for families. Today, thanks to the support of companies such as Fedecacao, the Defense Corporation of the Bucaramanga Plateau - CDMB, Agrosavia, Repregan with the guidelines of the Environmental Bubble, the objective could be achieved.
In this opportunity, the inhabitants of the six towns of the village Cuesta Rica, could access these seedlings that are export type, which were cultivated with the best conditions and now are ready to plant.
With this type of activities, Mi Vereda Modelo continues to strengthen and create cooperation ties, in which the community itself benefits with the training and work carried out by the companies and institutions that work with Fe en Colombia, to work for the growth and strengthening of the region.
