Troops of the Third Brigade of Colombian National Army, through the Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) Valle, with the support of the Attorney General's Office and the National Police, made the arrest in flagrante delicto in the Santa Clara neighborhood, east of Santiago de Cali, department of Valle de Cauca.
Thanks to military intelligence and coordinated operation, two men and a woman who were traveling in a private vehicle were arrested. The troops found weapons, communications equipment and more than 100 kg of the hallucinogenic substance, distributed in 200 packages with an estimated cost of more than 300 million pesos.
During the procedure, a pistol-type handgun, 2 metal magazines, 19 9 mm caliber cartridges, 5 cell phones and the vehicle used for transportation were found by troops.
These operations are part of Colombian National Army's comprehensive strategy against organized crime and urban drug trafficking, in coordination with the Prosecutor's Office and the National Police, in order to strengthen citizen security and coexistence in southwestern Colombia.
