The arrest took place in the village Villa Colombia in the municipality of Jamundí, Valle del Cauca.
By means of military intelligence and thanks to a coordinated work conducted by the National Army and the National Police, it was possible to arrest alias Deiby or Felipe, alleged ringleader of the finance group of the Organized Armed Group, GAO ELN, José María Becerra front.
This man, who would have a criminal experience of approximately 20 years, was apparently responsible for promoting the illicit activities of GAO in the municipality of Jamundí, Valle del Cauca.
Thanks to this operational result, the Military Forces manage to destabilize the financial subsystems of this gang. The National Army continues to work in coordination to dismantle these armed structures that commit crimes in the south-west of the country.
