National Army and police arrest two alleged members of residual GAO “Estructura 36”

Among those arrested there is the alleged perpetrator of the terrorist attack in which two policemen were injured in Anorí, Antioquia, earlier this week.

 

Troops of the National Army, in a coordinated work with the police, arrest two alleged members of the Yesid Guevara Company, of the residual organized armed group, GAO-r, structure 36, in the northeast of Antioquia.

 

The operation that was carried out in the urban center of the municipality of Anorí led to the arrest of two people, including Alias Nene, who had an arrest warrant in force for the crime of association to commit aggravated crimes.

 

Alias Nene would have participated in the attack against two police officers on April 6 in that municipality, and would also be involved in the murder of a former FARC member and her sister, on January 1, in the municipality of Briceño, Antioquia. Those arrested who, according to intelligence information, had alliances with members of the GAO ELN to carry out actions against the security forces are responsible for the crime of trafficking, manufacturing and carrying firearms, among others.

 

In development of the military operation were in the same way found three nine mm rifles, three magazines, a silencer, a night vision scope and 79 cartridges caliber 9mm.

 

Those arrested who, according to intelligence information, had alliances with members of the GAO ELN to carry out actions against security forces are responsible for the crime of trafficking, manufacturing and carrying firearms, among others.

 

The two individuals and the material were put into custody of the authority for their respective prosecution.
