As part of the Agamenon II Military and Police Campaign, troops of the National Army, coordinated and inter-institutional with the Police and the Prosecutor's Office, arrest the individual known as Soldado, the alleged urban ringleader of the Central Turbo substructure of the Organized Armed Group, GAO, Clan del Golfo. The event occurred in the sector El Tres, on the road that connects Turbo with Necoclí, in the Urabá Antioqueño region.
The arrested individual, 38, had criminal experience of more than 7 years in illegal organizations. Alias Soldado had an arrest measure of home detention for the crime of association to commit aggravated crimes; However, he would have continued to commit crimes in the municipality of Turbo, apparently ordering murders and criminal actions against the security forces.
This individual is accused of being one of the alleged responsible for an attack on police units, last February 18, in the sector El Tres, in the municipality of Turbo; and last May 19 in Necoclí.
With this result, the criminal operations of the organized armed group in the Urabá subregion of Antioquia are weakened, especially in the municipality of Turbo, where this urban ringleader committed crimes.
