The confiscations were reported in the municipalities of La Plata and Paicol (Huila).
Soldiers of the Ninth Brigade in a coordinated work with Police Huila, relentlessly fight the crime of drug trafficking. Operations against this problem led to the finding of 262 kilos of marijuana (cost 223 million pesos), and to the arrest in flagrante delicto of two people.
The first operation was reported on the road that from La Plata in the west of Huila goes to Cauca; there, supported by the canine binomial, soldiers of Infantry Battalion No.26 Cacique Pigoanza and members of the Police and Military Forces find 205 kilos of Cripy marijuana.
The action was reported during the inspection of a private vehicle and the driver was given to the authorities for the alleged crime of trafficking, manufacturing and carrying drugs.
The operations against drug trafficking continued to be carried out in the municipality Casarrosines, in La Plata. Soldiers and police officers found a bag with eight packages of marijuana that were abandoned thanks to pressure exerted through checkpoints and permanent patrols.
The operations are now reported in the municipality Paicol; there, during search of the belongings of a motorcycle driver, it was possible to find 12.5 kilos of marijuana distributed in five packages, the man was arrested.
