In the course of military territorial control operations, troops of the National Army, jointly with the National Navy and coordinated with the National Police, arrested in Cartagena, Bolivar, 17 suspected members of the substructure Heroes del Caribe, of the organized armed group, Gao, Clan del Golfo.
The apprehension was carried out through search of buildings carried out in different points of the city, after an arduous work of military intelligence.
Among those arrested there is alias Cata, accused of being urban ringleader of this illegal group, and who would have criminal experience of 5 years in the organization.
According to the information, she would be in charge of the commercialization of huge drug amounts in the tourist areas and school spaces of Cartagena.
During the operation it was possible to find 200 grams of cocaine, two precision scales and communications equipment that would be used to coordinate their criminal operations.
Those arrested and the elements found were put into custody of the authorities, who must be responsible for the crimes of association to commit aggravated crimes, manufacture, trafficking or carrying narcotic drugs and illicit destination of goods, furniture and real estate.
