The work of more than four months of military and police intelligence was decisive to achieve this result that was carried out in the urban area of the municipality of Carepa, Antioquia, where troops of Infantry Battalion No.46, Voltigeros, with the Investigation Group Against Organized Criminal Structure of the National Police, found this individual.
The individual arrested, 25, has more than six years of experience in the organization, he was responsible for the collection of money from extortion to strengthen the finances of the organised armed group, he was also collecting the money of drug trafficking for the purchase of war material, and, at the same time he conducted criminal activities with explosive devices in urban and rural areas, in the municipalities of Dabeiba, Múrindo and El Carmen del Darién, attacking against the civilians and the security Forces.
With this arrest, the terrorist group loses a zone leader with interference capacities in the municipality of Murri, municipality of Dabeiba, Antioquia, with experience in the management of finances, extortion and especially the ability to exercise control of drug trafficking and handling explosives to damage civilians and security forces.
The arrested individual was put into custody of the authorities and must face charges for the crimes of association to commit aggravated crimes for purposes of homicide, drug trafficking, trafficking in firearms and ammunition.
