This individual would have a criminal experience of approximately seven years in the service of the armed groups. He would be the one who ordered the execution of extortions, selective and multiple murders in the area.
In a military operation framed in the strategy Relampago, carried out by troops of the National Army in coordination with the National Police, it was possible the arrest alias El Paisa, alleged ringleader of the group under the command of alias Ñeque, who acts as the third ringleader of the Organized Armed Group called mobile column Franco Benavides.
The arrest of alias El Paisa occurred after intelligence work carried out on the residual organized armed group, where the troops engaged a battle with the structure in the rural area of the municipality of Policarpa, Nariño. The man was injured in the middle of the confrontation and was assisted immediately by the nurses of battle, who gave him first aid and later evacuated to the city of Pasto, in a health centre, where he received specialized medical care.
It should be mentioned that this person must face charges of manufacturing, trafficking and carrying firearms or ammunition and illegal use of uniforms and insignia.
In turn and according to information, it is presumed that alias El Paisa would have as interference areas the municipalities of El Ejido, Madrigales, Remolino Bajo Patía, San Roque and Puerto Sánchez, which are part of the municipality of Policarpa, Nariño.
In the course of the military operation, a rifle, a submachinegun, a pistol, ammunition of different calibers, military accessories and bracelets alluding to this criminal structure were seized, which was later put into custody of the authorities.
In the same way, the anti-explosive technicians of the National Police carried out the controlled destruction of five improvised explosive devices that had been found in the place where the military operation was carried out.
