In the same military operation, another member of the illegal structure was arrested, who would apparently be its head of security.
In the course of military operations, framed in the Bicentenary Campaign Plan Heroes de la Libertad that has been conducting the National Army against all the factors of instability, in the municipality of Solano, in Anorí, alias Guevara, who would be the main ringleader of the front Heroes y Martires of Anorí, of the organized armed group, GAO, -ELN, was arrested. In the same event, another alleged gang member, alleged security chief, was in the same way arrested.
These individuals were found with two rifles, four hand grenades, ammunition, magazines, communications equipment, explosive materials, which were intended to be installed to attack the Military Forces, putting at risk the civilian that transit through the region.
Alias Guevara is accused of being the author of multiple terrorist operations against the Military Forces and civilians in the Northeast and Magdalena Medio antioqueño subregions.
In 2018 he allegedly participated in the kidnapping of six people, including two minors, in a rural area of the municipality of Amalfi. In the same year, in the municipality of Los Trozos, in Anorí, he allegedly planted an explosive device with which a soldier was wounded. He is in the same way accused, according to the authorities, of having shot down an energy tower in a rural area of the municipality of Campamento, in the north of Antioquia.
In the same way, in 2019 he would allegedly be involved in the attack with a grenade against members of the National Police, in events that occurred in the municipality of Anorí. In 2020 he would have participated and ordered different terrorist actions that left, at least, three soldiers wounded. In the same way, he is accused of carry out criminal proselytism with the installation of flags alluding to the criminal structure, in rural areas of the municipality of Anorí.
Finally, in 2021, he would be accused of ordering the attack on a patrol of the Carabineros Directorate of the police, which was making a tour of the ETCR La Plancha, where a member of this institution was killed and another was injured.
According to intelligence information, alias Guevara would be coordinating with members of the residual Gao Structure 36, in order to carry out terrorist actions against the security forces in the North and Northeast regions of Antioquia.
This important result leads to weaken the armed component of this organized armed group, which intended to continue carrying out criminal operations that undermine security and tranquility in the Department.
Those arrested and the material found, were put into custody of the authorities for their respective judicial process
