The Task Force Quiron in military offensive operations managed to capture an individual known by the alias 'El Zorro', alleged member of the residual Structure Primera of GAO (Organized Armed Groups) in the village Zarapay, in the municipality of Tame, in the department of Arauca.
Alias 'El Zorro', captured by troops of the Ground Operations Battalion No.30, apparently was in charge of the collection of money extorted from farmers, merchants and transport companies in this region of the country. In the same way, he was responsible for transporting explosives to carry out terrorist operations against the civilian population, security forces and strategic assets of the Nation, in the municipalities of the department of Arauca such as Tame, Puerto Rondón, Fortul, Saravena and in Hato Corozal, in the department of Casanare.
In the same way, it is presumed that this individual would be one of those responsible for the terrorist attack last June 9 in that municipality, where four of our heroes were killed. The individual, which was put into custody of the authorities with the war material confiscated, will begin a judicial process for the crimes of aggravated homicide and rebellion.
