Thanks to the rapid reaction and deployment of the troops of the Mechanized Cavalry Group No.3 'General José María Cabal', Unit attached to the Twenty-Third Brigade, an illegal hideout with explosive devices was found and destroyed in the village of Chambú, Municipality of Ricaurte , in the department of Nariño.
This result was produced thanks to the Civic Participation Network, with the coordination of the institutional control of the territory in compliance with the Bicentenary Plan, in the Operation Horus de la Libertad.
Troops found 40 kilograms of explosives, which apparently would be used against critical infrastructure, such as the OTA Transandino Pipeline and / or Electric Substation, criminal activities that would apparently be carried out by the Organized Armed Group GAO-ELN, company 'José Luis Cabrera Rúales'.
The entire material was destroyed under controlled conditions in the place by the EXDE explosives and demolitions team of the National Army.
