In compliance with the strategic approach for weakening the Resources of the threat, as part of the Ayacucho Campaign Plan, National Army troops, in coordination with the Police, found and destroyed a cocaine hydrochloride production laboratory.
This result against the illicit activities of organized criminal groups, took place in La Primavera town, of the municipality of El Pe帽ol, in the eastern subregion of the department of Antioquia. There the members of the Military Forces found four wooden structures that supported the laboratory.
During the inspection of the site, the soldiers found 400 kilograms of cocaine, 7000 gallons of acetone, 390 gallons of potassium permanganate, 900 gallons of hydrochloric acid, 100 kilograms of potassium sulfate, 150 kilograms of activated charcoal and several identification tags.
The material found was put into custody of officials of the Attorney General's Office, who were in charge of the prosecution.
