In development of an operation of territorial control, troops of the National Army in coordination with the National Police found and destroyed a laboratory of cocaine hydrochloride in the hamlet known as Belén de Chaverras, rural area of the municipality​​ Carmen de Viboral, in eastern Antioquia.

This laboratory had five divisions belonging to the criminal group 'Los Chatas', which was in an area of ​​difficult access, being finally detected by the Army thanks to intelligence work.

It is estimated that the impact on the finances of this criminal organization would be valued at more than 2,000 million pesos approximately.

In total, 15 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride, 38 kilograms of cocaine base and three kilograms of coca were found by troops.

In the same way, troops also found 1,620 gallons liquid precursors and 1,100 kilograms in solid precursors.
