This year, the Sixth Division troops have managed to find and destroy more than 450 explosive devices or antipersonnel mines, safeguarding the physical wellbeing of our inhabitants.
In the Bicentenary Campaign Plan “Heroes of Freedom” and in the execution of an operation aimed at ensuring institutional control of the territory, the National Army achieved the discovery and destruction of four powerful explosive devices, which would have been planted by terrorists belonging to the residual Organized Armed Groups.
The operations were carried out in the village Gibraltar, in a rural area of the municipality of La Montañita, in the department of Caquetá, where anti-explosive experts could arrive and through our specialized dogs, four cylinders of 20 pounds each were found with their respective means of ramp-type metal launching system and a hand grenade
