In military operations, troops of the Task Force Quiron of the National Army destroyed under controlled conditions, two explosive devices on the road that connects the municipality of Fortul with the municipality of Esmeralda in Arauca.
This operation is carried out thanks to the timely information provided by the community, which led the soldiers of the explosive demolition team EXDE to reach the village Los Alpes, in the municipality of Saravena, where they secured the place and destroyed these two explosive devices containing approximately 25 kilograms of pentolite.
The installation of these non-conventional weapons is attributed to the Camilo Cien Fuegos group of the organized armed group, GAO, Eln, which continues to violate international humanitarian law, putting at risk the civilians who live and transit daily through this area of the Department of Arauca; these facts will be reported to the authorities.
