Army destroyed two explosive devices in Putumayo
Troops of the Jungle Brigade No.27 attached to The Sixth Division of the National Army, thwarted the terrorist operations of residual organized armed groups, GAO-r, structure 48 Comandos de la Frontera.
In the frame of operation Horus of freedom, troops of the energy and Road Special Battalion No.9 found and destroyed two improvised explosive devices in rural area of La Danta, municipality of San Miguel.
During the search for military control of the area the troops found inside an illicit coca plantation, two gas cylinder-type improvised explosive devices with a command cable activation system.
Immediately and with the support of the explosives and demolitions group (EXDE) of the National Army, using security protocols, they destroyed this threat, which could harm the lives of civilians and troops, who move through this sector.
Thanks to professionalism and military training, the troops once again thwart the terrorist plans of organized armed groups, who tried to use illicit means and methods of war, clearly prohibited by the postulates of International Humanitarian Law.
