Apparently, the action would be perpetrated by the residual Organized Armed Group Structure 40. The explosives had activation system by vehicular alarm.

Troops of the Joint Task Force 'Omega' and the Fourth Division of the National Army, achieved the neutralization of a terrorist operation in the hamlet La Julia, municipality of Uribe, in the department of Meta.

The incident occurred 10 meters from the sports center of the municipality, where there was a motorcycle with a bag loaded with seven grenades, two batteries, two alarms, two detonators and other materials to make the vehicle explode at any time.

The community, noticing the abandoned motorcycle, notified the troops of the Rapid Deployment Battalion No. 1, who immediately arrived in the area, evacuated the community, and through the Exde group confirmed the explosives on the motorcycle, and the system of Activation that would be used in the attack.

Once the zone was secured, the soldiers of the Marte Group of the Fourth Division of the National Army and the Joint Task Force 'Omega' neutralized the terrorist act under controlled conditions, without any damage for the community or the troops, safeguarding the life and good physical condition of the inhabitants.

The Joint Task Force 'Omega' rejects this terrorist act that may have killed the inhabitants of the area or the Security forces, an action that transgress Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law.
