It was a day of emotions and surprises. 12 boys and girls, from eight to eleven years old, of the Colombian Family Wellbeing Institute, saw two of their big dreams come true thanks to the operation of the National Army: travel by plane for the first time and see the sea.
Their day began very early in the facilities of the ICBF where the 12 children congregated with the expectation of celebrating Children's Day in a military unit of the National Army, what these little ones did not imagine is that the surprises were only about to begin.
The first stop was the military base of the Air Assault Aviation Division, where they were awaited by Major General Nicacio Martínez Espinel, Commander of the National Army who had prepared two surprises for these children.
From the hands of the Commander of the National Army, the children, one by one, received a present, the biggest surprise was reserved for the end. Major General Nicacio Martínez Espinel announced that due to their good behavior and on the occasion of Children's Day, they were worthy of a trip to the north coast of Colombia.
In this way, the Colombian army and the ICBF (Colombian institute for the family wellbeing), made the dreams of these children true.
