In recent hours, the National Army conducted a joint special operation with the Colombian Air Force, coordinated with the National Police and inter-agency with the Attorney General's office, with the aim of rescuing the social leader, who in the same way serves as president of the Municipal Action Board of the village of San Isidro, in the municipality of Miraflores, in Convencion, Norte ode Santander, who was kidnapped apparently by the front Hector of the Organized Armed Group, GAO, ELN.
At the time, the United Nations (UN) Human Rights Office for Colombia and the NGO Human Rights Watch expressed concern about the illegal detention of the social leader and called on the armed group that had kidnapped him to respect his life and early release.
In this way all the institutional resources were used to achieve the rescue of this citizen, which was possible today in the municipality of Teorama.
The social ringleader is being assessed by specialized medical personnel to verify his state of Health, in order to meet his relatives.
