The military nurses gave first aid to the individual belonging to the group “Compañero Tomas” of the Eln who was evacuated in one of our helicopters to a hospital.

The military operation conducted by the Quiron Task Force, military unit of the Eighth Division of the National Army, has led to the surrender of organized armed groups that commit crimes in the region.

In recent hours, through an offensive search in the village known as Calafitas, in the municipality of Saravena, troops of the 27th ground Operations Battalion engaged a firefight with members of the “Compañero Tomas” of the Eln group, who subsequently fled.

Once the military operation was over, during the search and review of the place, one of the Eln members was found wounded. The combat nurses gave him first aid, stabilizing him until he was evacuated and hospitalized in Saravena hospital. He recovers satisfactorily. The individual is from the state of Zulia, in Venezuela.

The individual had a 9-millimeter caliber pistol. A van-type vehicle was in the same way found.
