This result directly damages the finances of the residual organized armed group, GAO-r, structure sixth Dagoberto Ramos Ortiz, who hid the drug in a rural house in the municipality of Caloto.
This significant result takes place thanks to the interinstitutional work carried out by the National Army with the Attorney General's office; it was possible to find more than two tons of high quality marijuana, valued at 3,500 million pesos that would belong to the GAO-R Estructura Sexta Dagoberto Ramos Ortiz.
In the municipality of Arrobleda, municipality of Caloto, in the north of the Department of Cauca, troops of the National Army, who through military intelligence work, found in a house 1,544 kilograms of marijuana hidden in 29 bags. However, what most called the attention of the authorities was the second finding: in egg cartons, the criminals were trying to hide 556 kilograms of the illegal merchandise, which becomes a new modality for the transportation of these drugs which were covered by five layers of bags impregnated with mineral substances, such as sulfur, to prevent moisture damage and, at the same time, to prevent their detection by the mechanisms of control of the Military Forces.
