The troops will count on a new platoon of ASV M1117 armored vehicles.
Within the framework of the Ayacucho Plan, troops of the Joint Task Force Marte, a Military Unit attached to the First Division of Colombian National Army, receive a platoon of ASV M1117 armored vehicles in the south of Bol铆var, with the aim of countering the criminal operations of the armed groups that converge in this region of the country.
In this way, these vehicles belonging to the Combined arms Battalion N.掳 1 will support the military operations in favor of maintaining security and peace in this area of Bolivar. These vehicles will have as a priority the patrolling on the roads of the south of the department.
Colombian National Army reiterates its commitment to maintaining the security and tranquility of the inhabitants residing in the south of Bolivar. In the same way, it will continue to carry out joint, coordinated and inter-institutional operations with the different State institutions to safeguard the well-being and progress in this region.
