The Colombian Navy in coordination with the Professional officers Naval Reserve of Antioquia and Representatives of the BIOS Business Group through its FRIKO brand, distributed in Cartagena more than 5,000 units of frozen chicken that are part of the fifty tons, donated by this business group, who from the department of Antioquia, directed a main effort of humanitarian aid to benefit the most vulnerable communities in the Caribbean.

The frozen products were received by the crews of the Submarine Flotilla of the Caribbean Naval Force and distributed door-to-door to houses in the neighborhoods Flor del Campo, Olaya and municipalities of Arroyo de Piedra, Bayunca and Pontezuela.

Faces of joy and satisfaction accompanied this activity, which brought this priority food in the family basket to the houses of more than 4,000 people, as well as food baskets that were distributed by the departmental government, as part of the coordination in the Unified operation of the State.

These benefits will reach more neighborhoods in the city of Cartagena, extending to the vulnerable inhabitants of Turbo and Sincelejo, where, in coordination with the district authorities, they will prioritize the distribution of frozen products, according to the most representative needs of each people.

During Mandatory Preventive Isolation, solidarity has been the language that has united the efforts of civil authorities, the military and representatives of the private sector, who with a high degree of commitment have worked tirelessly in the search for food solutions for the most vulnerable inhabitants in the Colombian Caribbean.
