After eight months of evaluation, the International Demining Center, CIDES, was certified by NATO as Alliance Training and Education Center, being the 34th country in the world.
After an important preparation, delegates of the Network PTEC (Partnership Training and Education Center) of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization NATO, certified the International Demining Center, CIDES, belonging to the School of Engineers, which accredits this center as the number 34 in the world with professionalism to prepare and train personnel in military and humanitarian demining, a process supported by the Military Engineers Command.
By belonging to this network, the National Army can send members of the branch to be trained in the different centers that NATO has around the world to train personnel in different areas and unify concepts related to this discipline.
In the evaluation process, different aspects were taken into account, both in the strategic part with the important accompaniment of the Ministry of Defense, the General Command of the Military Forces and the National Army Command, and in the academic programs and the conditions it provides for the preparation of the Military Forces
