During his visit in Colombia, Major General Jan Kazimierz Toft, Director of the Cooperative Security Division of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization NATO-IMS visited the Air Combat Command No. 1, CACOM 1, in the municipality of Puerto Salgar, in the department of Cundinamarca, to learn about the capabilities and progress in interoperability of the Colombian Air Force Squadrons.

The delegation initially visited the Military Fort of Tolemaida and completed its tour at CACOM 1, where they were received by Brigadier General Juan Guillermo Conde Vargas, Unit Commander, who presented the interoperability capabilities and characteristics of the 111 Kfir Squadron.

On the tour by the Unit they met the modern Kfir Tactical Training Center, made up of a system of multiple interconnected flight simulators, which helps air superiority pilots acquire skills to conduct operations in defense of the sovereignty of Colombia and participate in irregular warfare operations.

It is noteworthy that the Colombian Air Force has participated in international combined exercises around the world under NATO international standards, making it a regional leader. The Institution can provide NATO members on human rights and the knowledge acquired in the fight against transnational crimes such as drug trafficking.

In this way, the Colombian Air Force through the Air Combat Command No.1 strengthens cooperation ties with NATO, exchanging experiences and sharing the mission that is carried out daily for the security and defense of the nation.
