In the San Pedro Claver Church, in Cartagena, a Eucharistic celebration took place to honor the victims of the armed conflict in the Montes de María region and their families.

The religious act was attended by the relatives of 52 heroes of the country who were harmed by the armed conflict in the Colombian Caribbean and the Commanders of the different units belonging to the Caribbean Naval Force, led by Vice Admiral Andrés Vásquez Villegas, Commander of the Caribbean Naval Force and Rear Admiral Francisco Hernando Cubides Granados, Director of the Naval Academy of Cadets 'Almirante Padilla'.

As part of the commemorative events, wives, mothers, fathers, children and heroes, participated in the inauguration of the wall 'The Faces of the Heroes', in the Naval Museum of the Caribbean, which, through 159 photographs of the personnel of the Navy of Colombia, wounded by direct action of the enemy, the Naval Institution pays tribute, remembers and appreciates the effort made by them, for the security and peace of the Nation.

In this place there was in the same way a wreath laying ceremony by the military and police authorities, as well as the intonation of the National Anthem as a tribute to these heroes.
