Units of the Colombian Navy, belonging to the Southern Naval Force, during surveillance, interdiction and river security operations, find 695 kilos of solid precursors, 1,837 gallons of liquid precursors, 605 gallons of coca paste in process and 475 kilos of macerated coca leaf.

The operations were carried out in different places in the departments of Amazonas, Caquetá and Putumayo, where the Naval Institution, jointly with the National Army and coordinated with the National Police, found and destroyed 15 illegal structures of production of alkaloids.

With the destruction of these illegal structures and the discovery of precursors for the production of alkaloids, the finances of the criminal organizations that commit crimes in the south-east of the country are severely hit and the environmental damage caused by the indiscriminate use of toxic chemicals in these places stops.

The elements were put into custody of the authority.

During the operations no arrests were made.
