Navy provides boat assistance drifting in the Pacific Ocean

The ship of the National Navy that accompanies and escorts the work and passengers boats daily, answered the emergency call of a coastal ship that was adrift due to a breakdown, about 12 nautical miles of the area known as Boca Cajambre , in the department of Valle del Cauca.

The ship ARC "Medardo Monz贸n Coronado", returned to the port of Buenaventura after making the escort of the boats, when about at eight o'clock in the morning it receives through the VHF marine frequency, the emergency call of the boat "Coagrotimbiqui", which reported it sailed from the municipality of Timbiqu铆 in the department of Cauca, to the port of Buenaventura, and due to an emergency in the government system, it got adrift.

Immediately the ship of the National Navy began the search of the motor ship, which was found after an hour and a half of navigation, due to the difficult climate conditions prevailing in the area.

The staff of the National Navy unit, boarded the boat and verified the damage of the navigation system, without finding a solution. The seven crew members of the motorboat received medical assistance, finding them in good health.

The personnel of the National Navy proceeded to secure the boat and tow it to the municipality of Buenaventura.
