Officers and Non-Commissioned Officers of the United States Army, visited the Melgar Air Base, Tolima

In order to provide accompaniment to the Basic Helicopter Pilot Course training program and strengthen the maintenance processes in helicopter aircraft, thirteen delegates including Officers and Non-Commissioned Officers of the Southern Command and the United States Army Mission, accompanied by of the Smartronix agency, visited the facilities of the Air Combat Command No.4.

 

The spokespersons participated in an exhibition, directed by Mr. Colonel Second Commander of the CACOM-4, who unveiled the training model used with foreign students, at the International Helicopter School for the Military Forces EIHFA. There the experience of the instructors, flight simulators, helicopters, construction and human talent, converge daily to meet the objective of training military pilots at the service of nations.

 

The cradle of Helicopter Crews, has graduated as helicopter pilots, since 2002 to date, 312 international students, from countries of North America, Central America and South America, including : Honduras, Mexico, Peru and Chile. On the other hand it has been a pioneer in the maintenance and preparation of aircraft, meeting the requirements of the helicopter operation, thanks to which training missions, aeromedical evacuations and firefighting have been carried out, safely.
