Within the framework of engaged combats, the troops of the Third Division neutralized the operations of this residual structure that commits crimes in the Nari帽o Pacific. In addition to the arrested individuals, rifles, ammunition and military equipment were found by troops; it was probably used to intimidate the inhabitants.
The operation of Colombian National Army against illegal armed groups in Nari帽o is constant. In the last few hours, and in a powerful operation, the troops arrested three members of the Rafael Aguilera Structure 30 of FARC dissidents, including one wounded, who was given first aid by combat nurses, as well as the recovery of two minors.
This operation took place in the Merizalde village of the municipality of Olaya Herrera, at the moment when the troops of the Hercules Task Force, due to intelligence work and the planning of the operation, initiated a combat against other members of this structure, who planned to execute criminal operations against the inhabitants.
These individuals would made the criminal group of alias Mahecha, the main ringleader of the illegal structure and who would direct the collection of money from extortions, terrorist operations and attacks against the Military Forces in the north of the department. In addition, this group would be in charge of transporting and marketing narcotics from the interior of the department to the Pacific Ocean, establishing routes for drug trafficking to other countries.
In the framework of this operation, three rifles, magazines and ammunition of different calibers were found by troops, elements that were put into custody of the corresponding authorities in the framework of the prosecution of those arrested.
Regarding the injured individual, he is receiving medical assistance at a hospital in Tumaco, Nari帽o, under surveillance and custody of the National Police.
