Immediately, a Rapid Reaction Unit of the coast Guard Station of Cartagena went to the place of the facts, and in coordination with units of the National Police and the direct surveillance of CONTECAR, it was possible to monitor by the security camera system; the two individuals were arrested, who, noting the work of the authorities tried to escaped hiding in a wooded area and leaving abandoned two sacks with 90 packages of alleged illicit substance and the underwater diving equipment.

The material and the two individuals were taken to the facilities of the Anti –Narcotics Police Directorate, in order to conduct the Approved Preliminary Identification Test, leaving positive result for 90 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride. Those arrested were put into custody of the authorities.
