Operational advisory groups update knowledge in the legal issues

Through a virtual conference, in which delegates of the Ministry of Defense, the Attorney General's Office and the inspector's Office provide knowledge and instruct officers and non-commissioned officers, the legality and legitimacy of military operations are strengthened.

 

In compliance with the order issued by the General Command of the Military Forces, regarding the importance of the Fenix operational advisory groups, the National Army, through the Comprehensive Legal Department, held the Criminalistics, Forensic Sciences and Legal Procedures Conference, where 289 people, including officers and non-commissioned officers, were trained virtually for one week.

 

The Conference aimed at military lawyers and technologists or technicians in criminalistics revitalizes all the knowledge of these professionals, and among its specific objectives is to strengthen the knowledge regarding the legal procedures in operations.

 

Similarly, the event covered training in legal proceedings, the non-commissioned officers and technologists in criminology, forensic science and allied institution that is part of the law offices of different Military Units, and it also potentiate the tasks of the advisory groups Fenix in divisions and brigades, to work as demanded by the authorities and judicial control offices.

 

The mission of the National Army is to ensure the fulfillment of the constitutional mission and the comprehensive human rights and IHL policy, which constitutes the roadmap of our operations. Therefore, it will continue with the strengthening of the instruction of the members of the military Forces, in order to fulfill the Colombians in the mission of providing security, always supported in the corresponding legal framework.
