The dismantling of the Los Cole Organized Common Crime Group was successfully made possible after the arrest of five of its alleged members, in the municipality of Mariquita, department of Tolima, for crimes related to drug trafficking, the above thanks to a joint, coordinated and interagency operation, conducted by the Colombian Aerospace Force, Colombian National Army and the Attorney General's Office of the Nation.
The operation was carried out in the neighborhoods of Villa del Sol, Centro, Invasión el Mutis and in the rural area of the municipality of Palocabildo, in order to materialize the arrest of five people, who had an arrest warrant for the crimes of association to commit aggravated crimes, to commit crimes of trafficking, manufacturing or carrying narcotics, a 16-gauge shotgun was in the same way found, which in turn was put into custody of the authority.
The investigative work led to establish that this gang, exercised the activity outlaw for about a year; alias El Flaco, El Negro, Yesid, and Cofla allegedly met in different parts of the municipalities of Mariquita and Palocabildo, apparently to plan the modality of the sale and commercialization of narcotics, where they would largely use fixed positions and public sectors, as well as door to door distribution and retail.
