Peruvian Air Force provides humanitarian aid to the Archipelago of San Andrés, Providencia and Santa Catalina

The humanitarian support for the recovery of the Archipelago of San Andrés, Providencia and Santa Catalina, continues, on this occasion in the ramp of the Military Transp¡Error! Referencia de hipervínculo no válida.ort Air Command - CATAM, where a Hercules C-130 of the Peruvian Air Force arrived with 10 tons of humanitarian aid, belongings and tents to provide emergency support in the Insular department.

 

The transport of the aid was possible thanks to the coordination of the National Institute of Civil Defense of Peru with the Colombian Government and the National Unit for Disaster Risk Management -UNGRD- based on cooperative agreements, where, as a sample of brotherhood and Solidarity donated 100 tents, LED lights, 500 blankets, 500 bed sheets, water purifiers and other items that will be distributed to the victims of Hurricane Iota.

 

The delegation was received by the CATAM commander, Brigadier General Andrés Guzmán Morales, who thanked the assistance provided and ordered the personnel available to unload the aircraft effectively.

 

The Colombian Air Force continues coordinating efforts with other countries, 24 hours a day, with all its resources to transport, in the coming days, these elements to the islands in order to be distributed to compatriots in need.
