The Rapid Deployment Force Command no. 3, belonging to the second division of the National Army reports:
1. Yesterday, February 19, troops who were conducting eradication work in the municipality of Jurisdicciones, in the municipality of Teorama, in the department of Norte de Santander, were attacked with explosive devices, by an organized armed group of the drug trafficking.
2. The criminal operation left one non-commissioned officer and four soldiers injured; one of them with serious injuries in his legs.
3. The military personnel were evacuated and are currently being assisted in a medical center in the city of Cúcuta.
4. The National Army rejects this act, which violates international humanitarian law, and will in the same way continue to carry out operations for a lawful peace for the department of Norte de Santander.
