Army recovered stolen war material
Regarding the theft of five rifles in Buga, in the early morning of June 18, 2021, the Command of the Third Division of the National Army informs :
1. As soon as the situation of a soldier serving in Artillery Battalion No.3, Battle of Palac茅, in Buga, Valle del Cauca, was known, together with the Office of the Attorney General of the Nation, search protocols were activated, and in less than 48 hours there was the military arrest of an individual that would be involved in the theft of war material in the city of Cali.
2. The rifles were found by troops together with other material in the rural area of Buga, Valle del Cauca, which were put into custody of the authorities to continue the investigation process.
3. In the same way, internally, the corresponding disciplinary inquiry was initiated in accordance with the parameters established in Law 1862 of 2017.
4. This Command is emphatic in saying that any public servant who deviates from strict compliance with the Law will be punished as ordered in the rules.
